Cooke & Arkwright's Industrial Agency has secured a letting of 47,000 sq ft at Treforest Industrial Estate to Orangebox, one of Wales’ top office furniture manufacturers. Acting with joint agents DLP Surveyors, we advised the landlord Blog Properties in the deal. Cooke & Arkwright has been providing advice on this 85,250 sq ft property for over 25 years, including latterly the sale of the building to Hutchings, Griffin Mill and Blog Properties for £1.5m.

Hutchins and Griffin Mill subsequently redeveloped the site and opened Hyundai, Nissan and Skoda showrooms within the front section of the building. The residual part of the site to the rear was surplus to requirements and is leased and managed separately by Blog Properties. Ben Bolton, Business Space Director comments: “This provides excellent warehouse accommodation in a secure but well-located site close to the Church Village by-pass. This letting to such a high profile company brings the site to full occupation.”

I have worked with Jeremy Symons over the past three years successfully leasing and buying property in support of my business. I continue to be very pleased with his knowledge of the market and expertise. Our relationship over this time has resulted in acquiring 20,000 sq ft at Capital Business Park in Cardiff, leasing 11,000 sq ft at Southpoint, and subsequently leasing an initial 42,000 sq ft at Parc Bedwas, followed by a succession of expansions of a further 11,000 and then 47,000 sq ft, enabling us to centralise all of our operations at Parc Bedwas in a single 100,000 sq ft facility. The acquisitions were completed at the perfect time for tenant purposes and the rent fixed throughout the term at very economical rates. A job well done.
