Cooke & Arkwright and Savills, on behalf of Kames Capital, have leased the third floor at 11 Womanby Street in Cardiff to Sero, a zero-carbon homebuilder and sustainable energy service provider.

The 2,850 sq ft suite at 11 Womanby Street, formerly known as Westgate House, has been leased on a five-year deal after being refurbished. The reception area and common parts have been re-modelled to incorporate upgraded WCs, new showers and changing facilities, as well as extensive cycle parking.

The office building is located in a prominent position on Womanby Street, opposite the Millennium Stadium in central Cardiff.

Andy Sutton, co-founder of Sero, said: “Our business is growing fast as people are recognising the increasing importance of zero carbon housing and sustainable energy in our lives.

“11 Womanby is a great refurbished, recycled space that gives us room to develop and it reflects some of our own values. It has great transport links allowing for an active, low carbon route to work and it’s within easy reach of the park for our teams to get some well-earned headspace – or we can visit Tiny Rebel.”

Mark Siddons, of Cooke and Arkwright, said: “This letting represents a welcome show of confidence and a genuine lock down deal, rewarding the landlord’s commitment to invest in the refurbishment of the property.

Gary Carver, office agency director at Savills Cardiff, added: “We are still seeing  demand for good quality offices in Cardiff, particularly those which have been refurbished to a high standard with exposed services and offering excellent amenities such as showers and cycle parking.”

I have worked with Jeremy Symons over the past three years successfully leasing and buying property in support of my business. I continue to be very pleased with his knowledge of the market and expertise. Our relationship over this time has resulted in acquiring 20,000 sq ft at Capital Business Park in Cardiff, leasing 11,000 sq ft at Southpoint, and subsequently leasing an initial 42,000 sq ft at Parc Bedwas, followed by a succession of expansions of a further 11,000 and then 47,000 sq ft, enabling us to centralise all of our operations at Parc Bedwas in a single 100,000 sq ft facility. The acquisitions were completed at the perfect time for tenant purposes and the rent fixed throughout the term at very economical rates. A job well done.
