Rob Perkins has finally made the decision to retire after 20 years as a fixture in the land agency department. He has been indispensable in all manner of property over the years, providing reliable support for Chris Hyde, Rod Perons, and Richard Knight's teams.

Previously, Rob managed a tyre fitters in Maesteg until he decided to retire at the age of 50. However, he quickly realised that retirement at such an early age was not for him. Having spoken with Cooke & Arkwright’s Roger Thomas he was convinced to take a role in the Land Agency department as a general Property Manager. Always a practical person with a love of the outdoors, Rob took to the job like a duck to water and quickly made himself an integral part of the team.

Rob was rarely without a smile and had an infectious laugh as well as a penchant for terrible jokes that will be missed around the office.

Rob is a genuine, all-around nice guy and such a positive influence on everyone around him. He will be greatly missed here at Cooke & Arkwright. We wish him all the best in his retirement and hope he fills his days being outside and playing with his grandchildren.

Cooke & Arkwright have been providing Newport City Council with rating advice for over 20 years. Andrew, Jane and Huw provide a personal and professional service and have an excellent knowledge of the Council’s assets which has enabled the Council to achieve substantial rate savings. A useful service offered is the status report which provides us with a snapshot of what appeals have been made and appeals outstanding throughout the life of the List. I would recommend Cooke & Arkwright Rating Services to any company wishing to procure up-to-date and professional rating advice.
