Smart metering and energy services provider SMS Plc has announced that it is expanding its operations and taking new premises at Cardiff Gate International Business Park. SMS will move into 4,518 sq ft of refurbished offices formerly occupied by Coca Cola in Unit D, Copse Walk. The company also owns/occupies two other premises at Cardiff Gate, another in Lamby Way, Cardiff, as well as five other locations nationally, including its headquarters in Glasgow.

Cooke & Arkwright are joint letting agents with Colliers International at Copse Walk. Since purchase in 2016, the landlord has invested in a full renovation programme of the 19,808 sq ft of office suites, where 17,586 sq ft has since been let. Units A to D are fully occupied following the letting to SMS and just one suite of 2,200 sq ft remains available on the ground floor of Unit B.

Customers include UK energy suppliers, major housebuilders, private and public property developers, and large industrial and commercial organisations, including major rail and telecoms companies.

SMS joins neighbouring tenants in the park including Redrow, Mitie, Hotel Ibis, Molson Coors, Regus and Scottish and Southern Energy. They will also be able to make use of the good amenities on site with Starbucks, Burger King, Waitrose, WH Smith and a Toby Restaurant and Public House all nearby, as well as doctors’ surgeries and a crèche.
