New letting brings Copse Walk at Cardiff Gate to full occupancy

A new letting to Harrison Clark Rickerbys brings Copse Walk Business Park in Cardiff Gate to full occupancy. The Top 100 law firm has secured the last remaining office suite of 2,221 sq ft and is to open its first office in Wales. It has eight other locations nationally with its headquarters in Hereford. Cooke & Arkwright and joint agents Colliers negotiated the letting on behalf of the landlord.

The landlord carried out extensive renovation works in 2016 to fully upgrade Copse Walk, an investment that has reaped rewards. The business park has attracted a string of lettings to companies including smart metering and energy services provider, SMS Plc and independent health economics consultancy, HEOR. All 20,000 sq ft of office space is now fully occupied.

Rhys Price, Senior Surveyor with Cooke & Arkwright’s Business Space team said, “It is great for us to announce that we are fully let at Copse Walk and to welcome Harrison Clark Rickerbys onto the business park. Unit B was the last remaining office suite since the lettings to SMS in 2019 and to HEOR in 2018. HCR were attracted to the good quality accommodation on the park and its excellent proximity to the M4. We wish them every success with their growth into South Wales.

“The landlord’s revamp breathed new life into the offices and proved to be the catalyst for the lettings that followed. This investment, along with a structured marketing campaign overseen by us and James Preece at Colliers International, has been an important factor in us securing high quality tenants.”

HCR, which will employ 12 staff initially in Cardiff Gate, also has offices in Worcester, Cheltenham, Birmingham, Hereford, the Wye Valley, Thames Valley, Cambridge and London.

Head of its new Cardiff office, Hefin Archer-Williams said, “We’ve been working in Wales for years and the time has come to bring the team here. For us, it’s a brilliant move because it brings many of us back to our roots, and for clients, it means that we are much nearer to them.

“Working across Wales, as we have done, will be much easier from Cardiff and we’re looking forward to expanding our practice further.”
