The dedicated investment team has increased Cooke & Arkwright’s profile significantly within the property investment market. Our excellent historic contacts with property owners and their advisors has been supplemented considerably over the last decade with an ever-increasing client base which now includes UK plc’s, institutions and pension funds together with regional property owners.
Acquisitions for retained clients, often on an off-market basis, are carried out across the UK.
Valuations of property are required for acquisition purposes and often involve surveys being carried out by Cooke & Arkwright’s building surveyors. When properties are owned and managed there can be regular requirements for asset valuations as well as updating fire insurance valuations.
Investment appraisal also plays an important part in clients’ initial and on-going assessment of property and Cooke & Arkwright provide a range of appraisal facilities to meet these requirements.
Cooke & Arkwright manages a wide range of commercial property. The portfolio includes estates and free standing industrial units, office buildings in single and multiple lets, small shopping developments and stand-alone shop units. Many portfolios involve mixed-use units principally retail and residential mixes. Cooke & Arkwright’s staff deal with the different demands of landlords and tenants and also carry out pro-active asset management to ensure best value is maintained within portfolios under management.
