Wales’ biggest free advertiser at Eastern Business Park

Ad Trader, Wales’ biggest selling free advertising publication, has taken a 3,900 sq ft suite in Building Three at Robert Hitchins’ Eastern Business Park. Previously located at Newport Road and Rumney Hill, the move facilitated the amalgamation of those two existing Cardiff offices into one premises.

AdTrader is produced in 11 regional editions around the UK and sells over 204,000 copies each week (*), with the South Wales edition being the most popular in the country. It is part of the Trader Media Group (TMG), which publishes over 70 different publications including Auto Trader, Bike Trader, Top Marques and Ad Trader on a weekly basis. TMG also owns the UK’s busiest automotive web site, and interactive services on Digital TV and via WAP mobile phone technology. It has an annual turnover in excess of £250 million and employs over 4,000 staff in 35 locations throughout the UK and Ireland, with over 50 staff employed in South Wales.

Ben Bolton of Cooke & Arkwright said that lettings at the Park were progressing well. “We are pleased to welcome another key tenant to the park and further announcements are due very shortly,” he said.

Trader Media Group joins tenants including Lloyds TSB, Dwr Cymru Welsh Water, Logica CMG, James Hull Associates, Manestream Ltd and Linea Resourcing. Occupiers have been attracted by the excellent on-site facilities at Eastern Business Park, where the landlord, Robert Hitchins Limited, has provided a restaurant, shop, fitness centre, conference facility and on-site crèche to service its tenants. The modern, campus style development is set in a matured landscaped environment and is close to St Mellons Golf & Country Club and Shopping Centre, with rapid access to the M4 via junctions 28 and 29.
