Resolven House fully occupied

Resolven House, a new office development in St Mellons Business Park by D Herbert Builders Limited is fully occupied after joint agents Cooke & Arkwright and Fletcher Morgan disposed of it as two units. RPA Group, a leading firm of construction, cost and project management consultants, has taken a lease on the larger of the two units and the second has been sold to Reflex Marketing, part of the Natuzzi Group, a world leading producer of leather sofas and Italy’s largest furniture manufacturer.
RPA’s relocation from its previous Cardiff headquarters in Cathedral Road has been primarily to accommodate business growth and the associated increase in staffing levels. The move also places it strategically close to its parent company, Cardiff based Hyder Consulting Group, which acquired RPA in April 2007. A number of new people have been recruited since the acquisition and additional recruitment is planned during the next two years as part of its projected development programme.
Ian Parfitt, director at RPA said, “The close proximity of Resolven House to Hyder Consulting was an important consideration for RPA and provides benefits in terms of communication and access within the group.”
RPA was established in 1992 and now operates throughout the United Kingdom with offices in Cardiff, Bristol, Plymouth and London. It offers a range of services including quantity surveying, construction cost management, project management, planning supervision and consultancy services, and has extensive experience of PFI in relation to courts, educational buildings, student accommodation and district hospitals. Clients include Tesco Stores Plc, Eagle One, Atlantic Properties, Sir Robert McAlpine Enterprises, British Airways, Welsh Industrial Partnership, Welsh Development Agency, Bellway Homes and Royal Bank of Scotland. Its most recent instruction in Pontypridd involves the refurbishment of the College of Art and Design at the University of Glamorgan.
