Cardiff Bay Office Furniture has completed a total refit and refurbishment of its new premises in Charnwood Park, Cardiff, acquired from private clients of joint agents Cooke & Arkwright. The business has expanded from its previous premises on Curran Road where it has retained 6,000 sq ft of storage space and has opened a 2,000 sq ft office showroom alongside a further 2,000 sq ft of storage facilities at Charnwood.
“We gutted the new premises as they didn’t suit our purposes,” said owner and managing director, Colin Rossiter. “We totally changed the layout, installing new floors, partition walls and newly fitted offices. Our in-house installation team carried out all the work and we are delighted with the results. People are invited to come along and visit our showroom where we can demonstrate how they can make the best use of their office space, whatever the size, and make it work for them by encouraging interaction and communication, which is important in the current climate.”
Jeremy Symons of Cooke & Arkwright said, “The transformation of the premises is quite striking; they are unrecognisable from their original appearance. This is now a well equipped showroom that is easy to access.”
The business has the advantage of providing a one-stop shop, with no third party contractors. “We do far more than just install office furniture,” said sales manager Robert Rossiter, son of the owner. “Our customers come first, our advice is free of charge and we provide cost effective solutions. We design the work space using the latest 3D CAD Design software. Clients are often surprised at how much their working environment can be improved through the latest design solutions.”
Cardiff Bay Office Furniture was formed 11 years ago by Colin Rossiter, originally providing furniture but quickly progressing to full office refits. It is now an extended family business and has grown five-fold in the last four years. Recent fit-outs include 6,000 sq ft of office space for Careers Wales in Charles Street and four floors in a new building on Charles Street for Youth Gateway, part of Careers Wales. Other clients include Hendre Group and group management engineering consulting company, Mott McDonald.
