One of Cardiff’s most respected developers, D Herbert (Builders), has started construction on a new office scheme at St Mellon’s Business Park. Resolven House, which will provide in total 4,500 sq ft of offices, will be completed by the end of this year and constitutes one of the last sites on the original business park. Other occupiers in the area include Lloyds TSB, the Environment Agency, TBI, Vodaphone and Gyrus Medical.
The scheme, which will be traditionally built in brick with pitched roofs, will incorporate every modern office facility including raised floors. The single storey development will also comply with new disabled regulations under Part III of The Disability Discrimination Act 1995, which come into force on 1st October 2004.
Director Roger Thomas of Cooke & Arkwright, joint marketing agents for the scheme, commented, “The design will allow for the units to be occupied by a single tenant by the simple removal of an internal wall. Alternatively, as separate suites, accommodation of 3,100 and 1,400 sq ft is available. Each would be totally self-contained and ample on-site parking will be provided.”
