Broomfield & Alexander is to have a 10,000 sq ft headquarters purpose built at Lime Tree Court, a new phase of development at Cardiff Gate International Business Park, in a deal brokered by Cooke & Arkwright and joint agents Fletcher Morgan. The park has agreed a pre-sale to the company, which is one of South Wales’ largest independent accountancy firms.
Broomfield & Alexander has more than 70 employees in Cardiff and Newport and has been at its current offices in Pentwyn for 20 years. Robert Preece, managing director at the firm said the move would be an important one. “The purpose-built offices will enable us to maximise our investment in new technology and be conducive to further improving client facilities and level of service,” he said.
“This move marks an important milestone in the development and expansion of Broomfield & Alexander.”
Roger Thomas of Cooke & Arkwright said, “Broomfield & Alexander has effectively outgrown its accommodation in Pentwyn. During the search it considered whether it was appropriate to move closer to the city centre, but the attraction of a motorway-orientated site, where staff and client visitors alike had convenient access, was a paramount consideration. Similarly, there was a desire to give the business long term security, as opposed to lease accommodation, which Cardiff Gate could accommodate.”
Lime Tree Court received planning consent in 2008 for 82,880 sq ft of employment space.
