Development Planning Partnership, one of the country’s largest independent town planning consultants which operates throughout the UK and Ireland, has taken a ten year lease at Windsor Place in Cardiff from landlord Beckerly Holdings.
The Partnership was established 30 years ago and has offices in Bedford, Leeds, Manchester, Glasgow and Dublin. It is now expanding from the serviced offices it occupied at Dumfries Place in Cardiff to the first two floors at 14 Windsor Place.
Gary Sutton, the DPP Partner with responsibility for the Cardiff office said: “After our first twelve months at Haywood House we have firmly established the Cardiff office as a leading planning consultancy, serving a wide range of clients throughout the Principality, the South West and further afield. Sustained business growth has led to the recent appointment of a new office manager and senior planner, and necessitated our expansion into larger and more suitable accommodation.”
DPP’s client portfolio includes some of the country’s leading businesses including developers, housebuilders, landowners, utilities and public authorities. It counts Tesco Stores Limited, Alfred McAlpine Homes, BNFL, Centros Miller, Marks & Spencer and P & O Developments amongst its clients.
Ben Bolton of Cooke & Arkwright, who advised the landlord Beckerly Holdings on the deal, said that the new DPP office was in a very attractive building in a much sought after area. “DPP was looking for somewhere central, in close proximity to fellow professional colleagues and legal firms. As neighbouring residents of Windsor Place we can confirm its practicality and attractiveness as a city centre location.”
Gary Sutton says that DPP aims to further develop the Cardiff office by continuing to provide a quality service that meets clients’ requirements and delivers further success. DPP is currently advising Tesco on a wide range of proposals throughout Wales and elsewhere, and is also busy working on projects for Liberty Properties Plc, Mercian Developments Limited, Wyncon Plc, KFC and Alfred McAlpine Construction.
