New courtyard scheme completed

Templar Properties has reported that the last two available units at Deryn Court, its recently completed 20,000 sq ft courtyard office scheme, are now under offer. Early sales achieved values of approximately £150 per sq ft whilst later sales have exceeded this benchmark. Templar has retained two units, one for investment and one for its own occupation.

Acting with joint agents, Cooke & Arkwright has secured the highest rent in Cardiff on behalf of J R Smart (Builders) Ltd, for the ground floor of its Ocean Buildings redevelopment in Bute Crescent, Cardiff Bay.The office suite of 1,720 sq ft has been let for just under £21 per sq ft. In a further deal, a 1,400 sq ft retail unit in the building has been sold by the agents after attracting a very strong price.

Business Park success leads to search for more land

Caerphilly Business Park, a 100,000 sq ft development on the eastern fringe of Caerphilly and one of the most successful office schemes outside Cardiff, has announced the completion of a further 21,500 sq ft at Phase 3, of which 6,500 sq ft has already been pre-let.
